It's been a while.
I know, it has been a long time since I have posted. In my defense I have been busy with work and school and plays. Over the summer I got certified as a scuba diver and that was probably the most exciting part of my summer. This semester has been a good one. I have had some really great classes with some amazing instructors. I ran the light board for a show over Halloween and that was an incredible experience! The show was a new stage adaptation of Tell-Tale Heart. It was such an awesome show. Everyone involved was really great! Someone from that show contacted me not long after it ended its run and asked me if I would help out on a show in January so I am starting to get more and more involved with my major and it is getting exciting! I also performed in a show in November and that was a new experience. I played a twelve-year-old boy and I was alive in some scenes and dead in others. I was a projection of my character in the dead scenes and I was alive in the flashbacks. I had never acted in a play before but it was really fun. I am hoping to be able to act in another show at at some point. I recently went indoor skydiving and I have to say, I am hooked. I am hoping to do it again in the next week or so. The more I go the more experienced I get and the more likely I will get to learn how to do some tricks! Like flips and twists and all of that cool stuff. Well, I've got to go. I am writing this while working on some stuff for finals this week.

| Slacklining! |
A good friend of mine invited me to go slacklining at the park with him and a few other friends. For those of you who don't know what slacklining is, it is a bit like tight rope walking except you are walking on some webbing that is two inches wide and has a lot more give. It will swing side to side while you are walking and when you first start your body isn't used to it so your leg shakes like crazy.
I went and let me just say after a that first day I became hooked. I wasn't even good at it. I couldn't stand up on it for a while and then getting to the point of walking seemed like it would never happen. But as time has passed and I have continued to practice at it I can now walk on it and have started to try and learn some tricks on it. It isn't easy and can sometimes be really frustrating. But I love it. I have made some new friends and have started spending my days off work outside at a park. Life is good.

J.K. Rowling
Love her, love the speech, and of course love Harry Potter.
And by the way, some of the seniors complained that she was the one to give the speech. Stating that they could have gotten someone better. Really? Not cool.
